Whitford City opened in 1978, and is the currently the largest single level shopping centre on the Perth's Northside. While Westfield Whitford City has been gradually upgraded over the years, the most extensive development occurred between 2002 and 2004, with the area being expanded to about twice of its original size. The shopping centre is home to over 250 stores, including a new restaurant precinct called The Piazza.

Innaloo has recently undergone a $50 million redevelopment with an increase in parking for 1,850 cars. It is now home to over 100 specialty stores as well as having a large Coles Supermarket. Kmart and Target provide a significant point of difference, making Westfield Innaloo the only double discount department centre in the main trade area.

Fremantle is a vibrant shopping centre, and after you have sampled the local cuisine and coffee you can shop until you drop with the seven days a week retail trading hours. You see, it is a tourist precinct so the shops can stay open longer. You'll find everything here from 100 year-old ship's chandler to new age shops selling essential oils. They peddle antiques on one corner and fresh sardines on the next.

Fremantle Markets is the State's finest authentic retail stall market and epitomises the true atmosphere of the Victorian era. There are shops and stalls offering seafoods, fruit and vegetables, continental smallgoods and a wide range of uniquely Western Australian products including gems, sheepskin boots and jackets and timber crafts available from more than 140 stalls and existing shops.

Murray and Hay Street are the two main shopping malls in Perth. Both of the malls are closed to traffic and offer a wide range of specialty stores. There are several arcades that run off either Murray street mall or the Hay street mall and link the city from St George's Terrace to Wellington street. The two main department stores in Perth are Myer and David Jones. Myer is the largest department store in the city and is in Forrest Chase.

King Street is probably one of Perth's best kept secrets and can be found just a short stroll down Murray or Hay streets in the centre of downtown Perth. A street with cobbled walkways that lead you past fashionable boutiques, cafes and old buildings such as King Street Couture. All along the street, what were once derelict warehouses are now bustling little cafes and shops with a collective reputation for style and originality.

Subiaco Station Street Markets is a colourful outdoor and undercover market which started as an alternative to the Subiaco Pavilion and has grown to encompass 130 stalls offering a huge array of interesting wares including gemstones, great souvenir t-shirts and other clothing. The garden courtyard and dining area is surrounded by a range of international food stalls and there's often a guitarist to entertain the crowd.

Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City is designed to make your shopping experience enjoyable. With over 110 stores including Target, Target Home, Kmart, Woolworths and Coles you're sure to find everything you need under one amazing roof. Catch a movie at Grand Cinemas or dine in at one of the many great Cafés or Restaurants. The Shopping City is being developed extensively between 2006 to 2007, the area being expanded to about twice of its original size.

Hillarys Boat Harbour is located on the Sunset Coast. A major ‘tourist’ centre for shopping and recreation in the northern suburbs, it is also known as ‘Sorrento Quay’. The boardwalks are extended out over the water and many specialty shops and boutique stores sit over the water amongst cafes, restaurants and a great pub.
Wanneroo Markets includes hand made market products, natural organic produce, online market stalls, art and craft. These are Western Australia’s biggest markets. Over 180 stalls offer everything from fresh produce to souvenirs, crafts, fashion, gifts and novelties. There is also a deli hall and some 20 food stalls offering a wide variety of hot and cold foods. There is a delicious bakery and a fish market.
